Smoke alarms should be fixed in the house to prevent fire accidents and stay away from driving a vehicle as the vision may be affected. If seniors are driving, they should wear the seat belt and drive in the area known to them.

Prevent depression and injuries - The main signs of depression are feeling hopeless, forgetting things, unable to take decisions, too much sleeping or staying awake in night, losing weight or gaining weight, thinking about life pessimistically and losing interest in most of the daily activities.

Senior may suffer from health problems caused by the side effects of medicines - There are many medicines, which have side effects such as stomach, upset and liver damage. Before taking any medicine, the directions written on the drug should be read carefully and if you suffer from side effects of medicines, you should inform the doctor about all the symptoms and medicines, you take. The medicines should be stored properly as many medicines are damaged when it comes in contact with heat.

Don't depend on others and try to live longer on your own. Older adults should be provided with proper immunization and should have health screening frequently to monitor the conditions. Most of the adults suffer from depression and generally, they are not given anti depression treatment. Most of the older adults wish to die pain free with dignity and healthy aging should be promoted for seniors.
