Home Remedies for Skin Hydration, Natural Treatment

Dehydrated or dry skin means that the oil glands are producing less oil than they usually do. The skin not only becomes dry but also produces itching. It is worse during the winters as the humidity levels are low during that period. It becomes tight and during severe cases, produces cracks and scales on the skin. The regions that are affected by dehydration mainly consist of lower arms, thighs, abdominal area and region below the eyes. Generally, each one suffers from the dehydrated skin.

One can spend as much as he or she wants on hydrating products. But instead, one can follow some of the home remedies that can hydrate and produce a smooth skin. To begin with, massaging the face and other areas with olive oil and almond oil before going to sleep is an effective measure that an individual can implement for problems relating to skin dehydration. The cleaning method, such as, soaking the face in lukewarm water can also be a useful home remedy for skin hydration.

A mixture consisting of egg yolk, a teaspoon of olive oil, orange juice, rose water and drops of lemon extract, can be used. Apply the mixture, few minutes before taking bath. This will remove the dryness and will provide a hydrated skin. Banana mesh can also be used for smoothing the skin. Apply the mesh onto the face and wash it with the help of warm water. A cooked mixture of honey and oatmeal can also be used for refreshing the skin.

The lips can be hydrated by implementing the milk cream alongside rose water and lemon juice on the lips. Also, massaging the dry body part with grape seed oil will help the course of hydrating the skin. In some cases, avocado oil or castor oil can be more beneficial. A combination of green clay powder with honey (1 teaspoon) can be applied on the skin in order to reduce the itching related problems.

Cardio exercises can also be a solution for the dehydrated skin as regular exercising increases the circulation of the blood in the body and also removes the unwanted toxins. Quitting smoking and alcohol can be beneficiary as well. One should drink enough water to maintain the moisture levels in the body and thus, hydrating the skin.

Consumption of proper balanced diet will help in retaining the smooth skin. Try to eat leafy vegetables and fruits that highly contain vitamin A and B. A mixture of raw peanut with milk and honey can be used to form a paste that can be applied onto the face for hydrating the skin. Before bathing, add few drops of lavender oil or oat extract in the bath tub as this will help in moisturizing the skin. Intake of caffeine must be avoided.

These are some of the inexpensive treatment that can be explored by an individual in order to hydrate the dry and rough skin.
