Herpes is an infection that is caused due to the simplex virus. It is contagious in nature. There are basically two types of herpes present, namely, oral and genital. Oral herpes causes sores or blisters around the mouth area where as genital causes the same around and below the waist area. Genital herpes occurs due to sexual transmission. Symptoms of herpes include flu symptoms and glands also become swollen in some cases. There is huge pain around the area where sores are generated.
It can be treated at home by executing the following home remedies. The most efficient and easily available remedy for treatment of herpes is an ice. Rubbing the ice around the sore area produces a good healing effect and provides an instant effect. Black coffee is also an emphatic way to treat this problem. Prepare a black coffee without sugar and after drinking it, apply the remains on the sore region.
Massage the herpes infected area with some baking powder, using cotton pieces. Take 4 to 6 drops of eucalyptus oil and bergamot oil and implement the mixture onto the herpes at regular time interval. One can also use an olive oil mixture. Mix a cup of this oil with lavender oil and wax of bee and provide heat to it. After cooling the mixture, apply it to the affected areas. Air circulation is a must during herpes related problem. So, one should avoid wearing tight fitting cloths.
Carrot can also be a good home remedy for herpes problem. Take a carrot and grate it and wrap the grated carrot in a cloth. Implement it to the swollen region. This would provide relief from the pain and will also heal the herpes. A good and healthy diet with high protein and iron levels is a must. Try to eat green vegetables along with fruits. Assign some Aloe Vera gel on the blisters as this will help in reducing the irritation caused by herpes. Also, implementation of a warm tea bag on to the sore region provides some relief. Pour a tea bag into warm water and apply it for 30 minutes. Besides these measures, try to drink lots of water, as the moisture levels will be well maintained in the body.
Add about 20 to 30 grams of mallow roots and mullein roots along with marsh mallow roots, into 3 liters of water. Boil the mixture for 2 minutes and filter it and apply on the herpes. It is also an effective remedy that can be followed. Consumption of peppermint tea reduces the pain in the sore area. Cornstarch can also be used to reduce the pain. Exploit the herpes with cornstarch as this would retard the pain level.
It should be kept in mind that herpes is a contagious infection. Thus, one should not touch or provide any physical contact to the herpes infected person.
