Natural Home Remedies for Dark Underarms and Armpits



Dark underarms can be a source of embarrassment for any one. The one, who has a fairer texture, has to suffer more discomfort than the one who has a darker skin. The symptom includes dark armpits, odor smell, itching and sweating. The cause of dark underarms consists of lots of sweating, no proper circulation of air or may be due to improper washing of the underarms. To begin with, lemon can be an effective home remedy for dark underarms or armpits. Lemon helps in the destruction of dead cells of the body and provides a new sort of freshness to it. Try to rub the affected area with the lime. Another home remedy for dark armpits that can act helpful is the use of a mixture consisting sandal and rose water. Sandal and rose water are meant to take care of the skin. Place the mixture on the darker skin.

Cucumber can provide benefits against dark underarms. Mix a teaspoon of turmeric powder into an extract of cucumber along with some lime juice. Spread this mixture around the underarms for 30 minutes. Wash the area and you will get a glowing skin under the arms. Besides, some homemade scrubs can be effective against dark underarms. Prepare a scrub using orange peel (dried) powder and few spoons of yogurt and place this mixture on the affected area. Also, potato juice can be helpful in bleaching the skin and making it fairer.



Milk and milk products can be used as a home remedy for the treatment of dark underarms. Combine a glass of milk with curd and add few grams of flour to it. You may even add turmeric powder in this mixture. Implement it to the affected region for about 25 minutes and wash the region with cold water, afterwards. Also, baking soda can be efficient home remedy for dark underarms. Massage the area with the baking soda, after taking a shower, on regular basis. In some cases, deodorants may be the cause of dark underarms. For this purpose, either try to avoid the use of deodorants or replace them with alum powder. Alum powder will naturally provide the same effect as the deodorants does.

Another home remedy for dark armpits that can be applied is the use of coconut oil. The coconut oil helps against the dead layers of the skin and thus, provides a better skin texture. Apply oil on the darker region of the underarms. Besides, one should always maintain cleanliness at underarms by proper washing this area. Also, tight clothes should be avoided. During summer, when lots of sweating takes place, one should go for cotton clothes. Instead of using shaving creams, waxing methods should be applied for the hair removal under the arms.

These remedies will provide an individual with a proper texture under the arms and she will be able to wear her choice of sleeveless outfits, without even worrying about the dark underarms.
