Home Remedies for Bruises, Natural Treatment



Bruises, wounds or cuts are the external injuries on the skin. The function of the skin is to prevent the internal organs and blood vessels from the external surroundings but a bruise exposes the internal vessels to the external environment. This can lead to various ailments and infections. Bruises result in the loss of the blood and make the body system prone to the infections that are septic in nature. Body has its own healing process which may take some time to recover from bruises.

It is better to provide some support so that the body can heal the injuries well in time. For this purpose, there are certain home remedies that can be looked for. The first step that should be followed is to stop the flow of blood from the body. Try some antiseptic lotion or one can even use cold water for stopping the blood flow. But do not use hot water for the same. Bleeding can also be stopped by using tea bags. Boil the bags and allow them to cool and place on the bleeding area. It is a useful home remedy for bruises.

Try to implement some ice packs as this could be beneficiary as well in case of bruises. Vitamin C has the higher healing property. Try to include vitamin C in the daily diet. A person, who has deficiency of this vitamin, has a very slow healing process against bruises. In order to prevent swelling caused due to bruises, margarine can be a good remedy. It helps in disappearing of bruise marks as well.



Application of raw onion can also be an effective home remedy for bruises, wounds or cuts. A mullein flower, dipped in olive oil enhances the healing process against bruises and is one of the emphatic solutions. Even an uncooked egg has the ability to trigger the healing mechanism. Apply the egg in circular motion on the bruise affected area. Insertion of around 150 grams of zinc also speeds up the healing process of the body.

The blue and black marks can be prevented by applying a cut onion, dipped in apple cider vinegar on the bruises. This has the maximum effect on the fresh bruises. The mixture of mustard seed along with onion and honey can be applied on to the bandage and used on the affected area. This will not only prevent from swelling but also provide some relief from pain.

An efficient herbal remedy for bruises that can be used is parsley. This increases the vitamin levels at the affected region and should be directly implemented on to the skin. Another herb that can be used is arnica. Add few drops of arnica in a cup of water and apply on the bruise by using some bandages. It is very helpful against bruises. Apply a mixture of pepper and melted Vaseline on the bruise. This will provide the cooling effect on the injured skin.

By following these procedures and applications, one will be able to cope up with the bruises in a much better way.
