Home remedies for leucorrhea or white discharge can certainly save the patient from anorexia. White discharge is the defense mechanism of vagina to maintain its chemical balance and flexibility of vaginal tissue. Thus treatment of leucorrhea is actually the treatment of the agent or reason causing it.
There are many reasons that can attribute to the cause of leucorrhea and sedentary lifestyle is one of them. Masturbation in young girls and excessive sex in woman, high rich diet with no physical activity are few other common causes for white discharge. Home remedy for leucorrhea due to any of these reasons is to take balanced diet, proper rest and regular exercise.
Herbs are also available to treat leucorrhea caused due to any yeast or bacterial infection or due to chemical imbalance. Herbs like plantain, pipssisewa, fleabane, motherwort, prickly ash bark, sumac berry, uva ursi, yarrow, white oak bark, bay berry bark, witch hazel bark, golden seal and chickweed are few effective herbs in the treatment of white discharge. These herbs are astringents and work as effective home remedy for leucorrhea, shall be used as a douche.
Slippery elm bark also makes an effective home remedy for white discharge, one table spoon of it smeared for 20 min with a cup of water and one tablespoon of plantain leaves, later cooled and strained, and used as a douche for 2-3 weeks twice a day helps in curing the disease. Another remedy is made by mixing one teaspoon of comfrey leaves, golden seal, sage and chamomile in a quart of water. This mixture is boiled for 20 min and then cooled and strained. Use it as douche for 2-3 times a day for a week, this helps in curing the infection.
Fenugreek leaves also have curative properties for leucorrhea, a mixture of 2-3 teaspoon with a liter of water first boiled and then kept on a low flame for few minutes, later used as a douche after cooling and straining it works effectively in curing the infection of vagina. Douche made by boiling walnut tree leaves with water or consuming coriander seeds, one teaspoon soaked in water overnight, in the morning for few weeks works as good home remedy for leucorrhea.
Spices and kitchen ingredients also make few effective home remedies for leucorrhea or white discharge. One garlic clove or 1 teaspoon of garlic oil with one teaspoon of vinegar mixed with a liter of warm water and used as a douche alleviates the problem. Using natural cottage cheese or farmer cheese in sanitary pad, changing them few times in a day, helps in stopping the itching and drawing out the infection. Mango, the part that is eaten, applied in the vagina helps in curing the white discharge.
Decoction of rice and water is an old and common home remedy for leucorrhea. Two tablespoon of rice boiled with a liter of water and water consumed after cooling it, doing this for a week, cures leucorrhea quickly. Decoction of ladyfinger and water, 200 gm of ladyfinger boiled in 1 liter of water till water is reduced to half, consuming 70 ml of the water thrice a day works as an effective home remedy for white discharge.
