Pustules are inflamed structured and they appear as red circle with white or yellow center. Pustules tends to be irritating and people often pop them but make sure to clean it as it may infect the skin with pus.

Nodules - These are quite similar to pustules but nodules have greater life cycle. Nodules are much more painful and their size is much greater than pustules. They are large, hard and painful bumps under the skin surface.

Scarring is very common and unresolved nodules leave scar behind which can cause development of nodules again and again. Nodules are very painful and squeezing nodules can prolong it further.

Cysts - These are similar to nodules acne but cysts are more painful as they are filled with pus. Its size can be as large as 5 millimeter. Squeezing cysts cause deep infection and have a very prolonged duration for healing.
