How to Prevent Acne (Pimples)?

Acne or pimple is the most common ailment of the skin. Starting from teenagers to people in their fifties and sixties suffer from the outbreak of acne and literally keeps no stones unturned to find out the solutions of their acne problem. Though there is no sure solution for pimples, you can take the help of some basic precaution to prevent pimple break-outs.

What is Acne?

Acne or Pimple is a tiny red inflammation formed at the root of the hair follicles present on the outer layer of our skin. There are both external and internal causes behind the formation of acne. Hormonal imbalance, smoking, irregular eating and sleeping pattern, chronic constipation, eating to much junk food and leading a stressful life - all of them are responsible for acne or pimple. Although people at their teenage or pregnancy period of menopausal stage are more vulnerable to acne, it can attack people of any age at any time.

Millions of creams, astringents, cleansers, toners and other beauty products are available promising a fast solution of acne. Before we go for the expensive treatments, let us have a look on some quick preventive measures against pimples, as they always say, prevention is better than cure.

How to Prevent Acne?

The following tips will be beneficial to prevent acne:

Wash your face with a mild soap or face wash at least 2 times a day to remove the dead cells, dirt and excess oil. Do not forget to remove your make up properly before you go to bed.

Avoid intake of fast food or too much oily stuffs as they will exaggerate your skin problems.

Oral zinc capsule (50 mg per day) is a good solution to fight with pimples.

A mixture of aloe vera, turmeric, neem and papaya will be effective to reduce your acne problems if used on the affected areas regularly.

Simple lemon juice if applied on the affected areas several times a day will help to fight the bacteria.

A paste of raw garlic if massaged several times can remove the toughest of the acnes because of the analgesic property of garlic. Intake of garlic orally also purifies the blood stream which in return prevents pimples and other skin problems.

Cut a cucumber into slices and rub on your face for 15-20 minutes a day. It will surely boost your skin to get back its lost texture.

Apply egg yolk with a cotton ball on your affected areas. Wash with cold water. It removes the stored oil in it and clears your pimples.

Make a paste of ground almond and honey and apply on the whole face. Keep for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water. You will, no doubt, feel the smoothness of your skin. It prevents acne too.

Acne is a very common skin problem and there is nothing to worry much about it. Relax and follow the simple steps. Say goodbye to acne!
