Wrinkles are fine lines and creases that you find in the skin of many elderly people. Wrinkles start to show as a person ages. The wrinkles are the result of the skin losing its elasticity and moisture. Overall the skin loses its firmness and becomes loose and sags. Some young people can also have wrinkles if they spend too much time under the sun.
Excessive sun, smoking and a stressed-out life can create pre-matured wrinkles. The UV rays in the sun are the damaging part of the skin. So it's best to stay away from the sun when it's too hot. Cigarette smoking contains a lot of free radicals, which are also damaging and will bring on the aging process faster than normal. People, who are tense and stressed out, will wrinkle up their face which will make them look more aged. So to avoid getting wrinkles early in life, avoid the sun, quit smoking if you do, and learn to relax by doing yoga or meditation.
Here are some home remedies that will reduce wrinkles.
Massaging your face gently with coconut oil daily will prevent wrinkles. The act of massaging stimulates the blood vessels, and so more nourishment can flow through the skin. The coconut oil will leave it soft and firm. It also has good moisturizing qualities. Use Witch hazel afterwards as it is a good natural toner. Using it daily will ensure that your skin will remain firm and taught.
As wrinkles are the result of the skin becoming loose, the person is also likely to have open pores. As it tightens the pores, the skin will look taut and not loose. You can get fine rice flour from a Thai grocery shop. Make a paste of the fine rice flour with water to apply on the face. Let it dry and then wash it off with water. You'll find that your pores are finer than before. It is very cooling too and you can leave it overnight. But I don't advise you to do that unless you've got oily skin, because your skin can look very dry, and the wrinkles will look clearer.
Drinking a minimum of 8 glasses of water will keep your skin hydrated enough to not wrinkle prematurely. Eating lots of vegetables and fruits will also provide the skin with the important vitamins necessary for a youthful looking skin.
Exfoliating your skin once a week will keep it wrinkle free, and make it healthy and glowing. Scrubbing the skin gently, removes the top layer of dead cells. This process will naturally stimulate new cells. You can use a mixture of gram flour, turmeric and water to make a mask. Leave it on, and when it dries rub it off, thus exfoliating it. If your skin is dry then you can grind almonds and mix with milk to make a paste. Apply and leave it on for half to one hour. On drying, scrub the dried layer gently off. Once you've scrubbed it off, wash off with water.
Taking care of your skin early in life by cleansing, exfoliating and massaging with the home remedies above, will keep your skin in good condition, and free from wrinkles, for a much longer time.
