Home Remedies for Hair Growth

Hair grows about half an inch per month. In normal healthy condition, a hundred hairs fall out daily. More hair keeps growing to replace the ones that have fallen out. If the amount of hair falling out is more than the amount of new hair growing, the person is going to experience loss of hair.

How can we increase the growth of hair? We can use home remedies that work. But before that you must know what is making your hair fall and eliminate it completely. Are you using harsh shampoos? Are you eating food that is not nutritious, like junk food? Are you using hot curling irons? If the answer is "yes" to all these, then the first thing to do is to stop them, and then only continue with the home remedies for hair growth. Otherwise what you will say after trying the home remedies is, "It does not work!"

There are many home remedies that you can use to increase hair growth. Here are a few home remedies for hair growth.

Fruits and Vegetables: For hair to grow well, it's important to take food that contains a lot of vitamins and minerals. They are found in fruits and vegetables. By eating lots of fruits and vegetables you will be providing the nutrition required for proper hair growth. Hair is also made of proteins, so a protein rich diet is important. You can get proteins from yoghurt, and from the bean and legume family, like soya beans, green peas, pinto beans, red beans, and black beans. Although meat has a lot of proteins, they also contribute to a lot of toxins as well, and so I do not recommend them at all.

Aloe Vera: Aloe vera can be grown easily. You can probably get a plant from a nursery. First cut the succulent leaf of the Aloe lengthways to expose the fleshy part inside. Lay it on a plate with the fleshy part exposed. Use a fork to run down the leaf to remove the flesh. Instead you can also use a serrated knife. Sometimes yellow fluid oozes out which you can discard. Take the flesh and rub it on the scalp. It's best to leave it overnight and use a shower cap with a towel, to protect your sheets. After a week or so, you will be able to see the new hair shoots growing from the scalp.

Coconut Milk and Coconut Oil: Grind or scrape the flesh of a coconut, and blend. Now squeeze out the milk from the blended coconut. Massage the milk into the scalp and hair, and leave it for as long as you can. Overnight is better. In the morning wash off with a mild shampoo. If you cannot get coconut milk, you can use coconut oil. Coconut is not only good for hair growth but it also stops excessive hair fall.

Lavender Essential Oil: Use a few drops of Lavender oil, in carrier oil, like olive oil and massage the mixed oil into the scalp. Lavender has the property to stimulate growth of lots of hair. Do it every day till you see that your hair has become thicker, and then you can maintain it by applying it just once a week.

Try one of the home remedies at least, and see the difference it makes in a month. You must use it consistently to feel a difference. Remember to eliminate what is making your hair fall excessively first, and also take a lot of protein-rich nuts and also plenty of vegetables and fruits, and I guarantee you that you will see a lot of hair growth.
