We mean well and during the winter season anyone who is telling you how to keep that glow intact should be treated more than just a well wisher.
Cardinal rule before you apply anything on your skin; know your skin type.
1. For oily skin: The most effective home remedy for dull skin is to apply mashed papaya mixed with gram flour and two tbs honey. This will get rid of that unnecessary shine, you can use it as a scrubber as well. For a mask use two tbs of fuller's earth (multani mitti), rose water, and tomato juice. Mix it well and apply it all over the face and neck. And after 20 min wash it off with cold water.
2. For dry skin: People with dry skin can tend to suffer a lot especially during winters. Well! Not to worry. Simply take 8-10 almonds. Soak them overnight and once you have peeled them, make a paste and add few drops of milk and honey in it. Leave it on your face and neck for 15 min everyday. This should not only treat your skin, but will make you look fresh as a daisy.
3. Mixed skin type: Honestly first recognize your oily patches; just apply a mixture of cucumber juice and honey. Leave them for 15 min and wash it dry. After this, use mashed apricot and olive oil on the dry areas as a mask or just give your face a good scrub with your fingers for about ten minute. This is an effective home remedies for dull skin.
A common home tip for all skin types is the age old one: Drink as much water as you can. Hydrated skin glows and that's half your battle won. Remember beauty is ten. Nine of which is lifestyle! Take care.
