Easy and Effective Ways for Teens to Lose Weight



Losing weight is one of the common requirements of young generation. Almost one fourth of adults are obese. Generally weight is gained in the teen age. So reaching at teenage, you must be aware and maintain yourself healthier. The only method of identifying your body weight is diet i.e. intake of your calories per day, and workouts you perform.

In order to lose weight, you need to burn up more calories as compared to calories you eat in a day. Ironically, ultra-low calorie dieting in puberty normally results in gain of weight instead of weight reduction. After a short time of quick initial loss of weight, the body starts to take time to lose weight to save calories. Frequent challenge to lose weight in this way may lower the rate of metabolism and make it tough to keep a normal weight.

A low calorie diet can result in severe nutritional deficiencies which may include weariness, fragile bones, problems of hairs and skins and hormonal imbalance. Teenagers usually prefer to have immediate solutions associated with weight. You must perform tough exercises throughout the day, in order to get effective result. Do workouts as a normal part of your daily schedule.



You must avoid intake of sodas in excess, juices and sports drinks, which really adds up to your body. Substitute them with water and you can accumulate loads of calories. If you want to satisfy your hunger you can consume any amount of fruits, salads and vegetables as they are low in calorie and would help you to fill up your stomach, and at the same time you also gain calories.

Eating fast foods occasionally is not a problem. Poor diet results in the problems of weight for teenagers. There are opportunities for teens to join a gym classes available in their school itself. You can always take part in sports and other co-curriculum activities such as dancing, swimming. It will be very effective in weight reduction program. You can workout regularly at home. You can also watch the aerobics CD and follow up the exercise, it also includes warm ups and cooling down after workouts. You will find it more interesting if you form a group and perform aerobic activities. Working out in group will encourage the participants and will lead to a competition, which will be a better option for you.

You also need to keep an eye on the sweets you are consuming. You must restrict sweets because it content sugar in excess. When the sugar does not burn up, it converts into fat. You can add fad diet such as soup diet, cabbage; grapefruit etc. in your nutrition because they are low in calorie and hence results in reduction of weight. Remember that you consume less saturated fats, instead of consuming all oily foods, whole milk, ice creams etc. You can consume veggie burgers, low fat dairy products such as skimmed milk, low fat yoghurt; add low fat toppings on the salad. Cook baked or steamed food rather than frying.
