Low Carb Diet - Low Carb Dieting Tips for Weight Loss

People eat low carb diet in order to lose weight. It means becoming more concerned about the quantity of carbohydrates present in the ordinary food. Calories are the vital factors for weight reduction at the same time you must also have the knowledge about the quantity of carb you are consuming. Consuming a nutritious low carb diet literally means removing sugar, alcohol and refined carbohydrates from your daily diet chart. However, the refined carbs should be substituted with carbs that are low on the Glycemic Index. Carbohydrates are not only the ingredient of bread, pasta, cookies, chips, cakes, candy and ice creams but are also the key ingredients of breakfast cereals, prepared sauces, canned foods and etc. There are specific foods, which you must not consume as it contains high carb. Those foods include -

1. Salsa or sauces, in which the sugar is the chief ingredient.
2. Bagels, pancakes, waffles or muffins, corn fruits, chewing gum.
3. Rolls or processed nuts or crispbreads, white bread.
4. Pasta, white rice, popcorns, flour, potatoes, carrot, peas.

The diets recommended are as follows -

Protein: Consume eggs, meat and fish particularly cold water fish like salmon, tuna. Eradicate processed meats and those consisting of sugars, carbohydrates, nitrates and nitrites.

Vegetables: Concentrate more on leafy vegetables like green cabbage, chard, bok choy, spinach and etc. You can incorporate all the non-starchy veggies.

You can incorporate the given below foods in your diet in order to consume low carb foods:

Mexican Breakfast: In order to prepare Mexican breakfast, you need three to four boiled eggs, one fourth cup of chunky salsa, one third cup of cheddar cheese, one third cup of avocado cut into pieces, two tablespoon of cream (sour), two tablespoon of sliced olives and two tablespoon of fresh cilantro (finely chopped). In the meantime, the eggs are getting boiled, put the salsa in the microwave so that it gets heated and cooked. Put the boiled eggs in a plate and top it with the hot salsa, cheddar cheese, avocado, cream, olives and finally fresh cilantro.

Creamy Blueberry Pie: To prepare this, you need to have eight ounces of soft cream cheese, one cup of purified water, two to three dashes stevia (a natural herbal sweetener), one teaspoon of vanilla, one tablespoon of cream, one tablespoon of cornstarch, one tablespoon of fresh squeezed lemon juice, one eighth teaspoon of stevia and one pound of fresh and frozen blueberries (non sugary). Now add cream cheese along with the water, stevia, vanilla and cream. If the blueberries are frozen, strain the fluid and use that liquid instead of water. In a pot add water with cornstarch, lemon juice and stevia. Cook and blend on the medium heat till it gets thick. Take out from the heat and mix with blueberries and lemon juice. Let the berry mixture to chill and put the chilled cream mixture.

Low carb diet stands on the theory that a diet that are low in carbohydrates results in decreased formation of body's insulin, which in turn leads to consumption of fat stores as source of energy.
