How to Lose Weight without Dieting and Starving Yourself



When people want to reduce weight and wish to get back in shape again, one of the first few things that cross their mind is to go on dieting. Over the years, dieting has become so much of a craze and has been messed with so badly, that people have truly lost the meaning out of it and have attached a lot of myths and misconceptions to it. A lot of people think that going on dieting means starving yourself and restricting the amount of food you are consuming. However, that is not the case. When you are on dieting, it means that you are consuming the same amount of food as you used to earlier, except that you change the ingredients in the dishes to healthy ones and cut down on unhealthy food items to focus on ones that help you in reducing weight.

To ensure that you do not have to cut down on your guilty pleasures of tasty and fattening foods, you can instead go on regular exercising routines instead of starving yourself. When you do regular exercising, your body metabolism rate increases and hence the converting of food into energy happens much quickly. Increased metabolic rate also means that you burn calories faster as compared to other people who do not do regular exercising. The kind of exercising that you go in for can be anything - ranging from going to the gym to joining some sport such as tennis or badminton. You can even consider dancing, skating and swimming as other options, as long as you are using your body completely and are doing it on a regular basis.



It is common to notice that when dancers leave their dancing or when athletes and those who go to the gym stop their workouts, they tend to gain a lot of weight. This happens because your body - which had been used to regular workouts - is now all of sudden not getting those workouts. So the metabolism rate which had been high earlier now goes low, and the body gets affected. Under such cases, weight gain is inevitable. However, you can definitely keep the extent of this weight gain under control by managing what kind of food you are consuming. This can be looked simply like this - when dancers and other sports persons are regular with physical activity, they can afford to eat high calorie foods because they know that they will burn it out eventually. In fact, high calorie and high energy foods are good for them. However, when they stop working out, they cannot afford to continue with the same kind of high calorie foods, because they will now start affecting your body negatively and will make you gain weight.

Therefore, what is important to understand is the fact that you can keep your weight under control and lose it without starving yourself to death. Just keep in mind small things such as including more of fruits and vegetables and other nutritious things in your diet, and follow regular exercising.
