Poor posture, heredity and being overweight are some of the reasons for double chin. You get this due to accumulation of fats around the chin because the tissues in the chin easily accumulate fats. But getting rid of it is not that hard you just need to know about the exact cause of it.
Taking a look at your family members may help you to get to know if it is inherited or not. Because if your mother, father or any sibling has a double chin that means it's in the family. Growing older also gets you a double chin because your muscles get loose and they lose their natural tone.
Here are a few simple exercises that will help you to lose that ugly looking double chin.
Sit up straight. As your sitting posture is also a factor for the double chin fat. Keep your head high above the shoulders. Open your mouth as wide as you can and relax for about 10 to 15 seconds. For a better result, move your jaw in a way that you are trying to scoop something out, stretching as much as you can.
While sitting upright, tilt your head backwards as much as you can. Chew as much sugar and also free your gums because they keep your mouth muscles working without letting excess fats accumulate there. Slapping under the chin with the back of your hands for a few minutes two or three times a day also helps in losing chin fat.
If the double chin is due to obesity, try losing weight you'll automatically lose double chin fat. Lie on your back straight with your hands resting against your thighs. Tilt your head backwards in a way that your chin is the highest point of your face. Hold for 2 seconds or more and then return to your actual normal posture. Repeat this until you feel your chin and neck muscles are tightened.
Eat healthy. Eat fruits like apple and diets such as whole grain bread or cereals. If you are hungry, eat fruits and vegetables to satisfy your hunger rather than all the junk food that you go for. Start exercising and you'll get rid of excess weight and double chin too.
Open your mouth wide. Pull up the bottom lip over you bottom teeth. Move your jaw up and down. This is the best exercise to lose the double chin fat.
Prepare a mixture of sea salt without any flavors with mineral water. Take it with the tip of your hand and then slap yourself under the chin. Be careful not to go for the neck. Repeat this 15 to 20 times every day. Try using a skin toner every day because it doesn't let your muscles lose the natural tone in them.
Most of the exercises mentioned here make you look quite funny and you won't want to do them in public. But following these exercises every day and eating a healthy well balanced diet consisting of fruits and vegetables is very helpful in prevention of double chin.
