Fat Burning Foods - Foods That Help You Shed Weight

Fundamentally, fat burning foods are those foods that burn out more calories than the caloric content of the food itself. Even farmers know that there are some foods that help in burning more calories than the caloric content in the food; this is the reason why they do not feed their animal with those foods. There are three fundamental groups for these foods namely, the citrus group, the cellulose rich vegetables and fruits group and the dairy group.

1. The citrus group involves lemons, limes, oranges, and grapefruit, kiwi (this is not a citrus fruit but a good source of vitamin C and also helps in burning fat).

2. The cellulose rich vegetables and fruits group involves cabbage, watermelon, asparagus, beet root, apple, broccoli, carrot and blueberries.

3. The dairy group involves yoghurt with low fat, non fat milk and fresh white cheese.

The foods rich in calcium help in reduction of weight by increasing the breakdown of fat in its cells themselves. This clearly means that dairy foods, which are not fatty, are burners of fat and should be involved in your diet. Along with the above described foods, you must also follow the exercises regularly. It may in the terms of walking or running for at least half an hour without skipping for a single day. If you follow and consume these foods accompanied with workouts regularly, your body will carry on burning fat after your workouts are finished as it has a cumulative effect. This is a real and fact theory that you must use up the calorie more than you consume in a day. The following foods will effectively help you to shed weight:

Eggs: Eggs are enriched in protein and thus helps to burn fat.

Beans: Eating beans will help in maintain the blood sugar level low.

Salad: Intake salad containing fresh fruits and vegetables with low calorie toppings. This will help you to fill your stomach and prevent you from taking higher calorie foods. This must be consumed between meals. These are rich in vitamin C and vitamin E, folic acid and carotenoids. These are all fighters of disease.

Green Tea: Green tea helps in shedding weight because of its antioxidant properties. It helps to increase metabolic rate and burning of fat. This also aids in lowering the LDL cholesterol.

Apples: Apples are rich in protein, a fiber that digests little by little.

Barley: Two cups of barley includes 12 grams of fiber. This helps in increasing the rate of fat burning of the body.

Carrot: This is fat burning food. These are rich in fiber and low in calories. The more you consume fiber, the more you lose weight.

Grapes: 500 grams of grapes contains only 350 calories. Thus you can take it without worrying about the amount of calories.

Cantaloupe: It is very low in calories and rich in nutrient.

Sprouted pulses: After the pulses are sprouted, they put on vitamin and fiber. If these pulses are eaten raw they help in making you reduce weight. 100 gm of moong sprouts contains to 80 calories. The sprout of other pulses like dry peas, rajma and broad beans can be prepared more deliciously if they are steamed, thus this reduces the value of the nutrient.

Curd: if the curd is made from cow's skimmed milk, then it contains only 50-56 calories. Curd is a good source of vitamin, calcium and protein.

To conclude, you should consume all the above mentioned foods in order to shed your weight.
