Dysentery Types, Amoebic Dysentery, Bacillary Dysentery



Dysentery is an intestinal infection resulting in inflammation of last part of intestines called colon. It causes severe diarrhea and appearance of blood in feces. If not treated in time can be fatal.

It is caused by two main types of bacteria and is subdivided with respect to its infectious classification. Dysentery caused by Entamoeba Histolytica is called Amoebic Dysentery, whereas the infection caused by Shigella bacteria is referred as Bacillary Dysentery.

Dysentery is caused, when you consume water or food contaminated with respective bacteria. The complications and symptoms in both types are the same such as frequent and uncontrollable passage of feces, abdominal pain and cramps, mucus and blood in stool, fever, shock and diarrhea.

Dysentery can be spread through contaminated water, rotten food items and fruits. Further the existing patients of dysentery can also serve as a major source of spreading the disease. It is important that touching of patient clothes, bed sheet and other items should be avoided as these bacteria can spread and find new host rapidly.



Treatment

Dysentery can be prevented by maintaining a high level hygiene environment. Further it could be cured through multiple herbal methods and home based remedies.
A famous herb Coriander (Coriamdrum Savitum) is very effective in its treatment. A simple medication of two spoons of coriander boiled in water can ease the pain of patient.

Another very effectual natural treatment could be found in skin of oranges and raisins seed. Serve the patient with the mixture of raisin seeds and dry peel of oranges mixed in water, consistently for four days and substantial recovery can be witnessed.

Another very common remedy for dysentery involves ginger and castor oil. You can just use ginger powder because this herb got its huge efficacy towards intestinal diseases. Either you can just mix ginger powder in warm water and use it consistently for several days or you can use mixture of castor oil with ginger powder water and use it as medication for dysentery.

Adding rock salt and bit of sugar in lime juice and using it in your daily diet also serve as a huge relief from dysentery pain and complications. Further lots of herbs like ginger, garlic, piyushavalli ras, kadukkai thole, bael fruit, brown sugar, kutajaghana vati, dried mango fruit, aloe vera, pomegranate seeds, rasins seeds, vetpalai seeds, bach flowers, chestnut bud and crab apple are also very effective in treatment of all types of dysentery.



Probably you won't be able to find most of the above names easily, however common household food items like lemon juice, mint and ginger juice, onions, basil leaves, nut grass and papaya also have great tendency for fighting dysentery infections.

Dysentery can be prevented by avoiding all kind of decayed foods. Always prefer to eat meals which are freshly cooked. Always use clean and filtered water, if you are not able to access bottled water due to some circumstances make sure to drink boiled water.

You need pay intention towards your choice of food, like always wash fruits very well before eating, make sure fleshy food items like beef, fish meat etc are very well cooked before final consumption.
