All around the world, the traditional method of beauty treatment is only one that is the application of the masks. In olden days women use to apply exotic substances to keep their skin smooth, beautiful and silky. In this way they were able to protect their skin from aging and other element. Among majority of women, face masks are still popular. Many of the women avoid using toxic commercial products and they prefer to use homemade masks for cleansing, nourishing, healing and protecting their skin. The traditional societies of North used fish and animal fats to protect their skin from dry and cold winter air. Some of the homemade face packs for winter season are-

Apply the homemade face mask of a paste made from one tablespoon of honey with half teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this paste by massaging in circular motion avoiding especially the area around the eyes. Leave this paste for at least 20 minutes. Don't wash your face first with cold water; wash it with warm water followed by cold water. The pores will be closed by washing your face with cold water. Skin is moisturized and pores are tightened by the use of honey. Lemon and honey both are bleaching agents and are very helpful for the skin. People prefer to have this mask especially in winter season.

Make a mixture of rosewater, a pinch of turmeric, and few drops of cream. Apply this mixture to your face for 15 minutes then wash your face with lukewarm water. To get rid from dryness, this mixture may be used in other parts of the body also.



Our skin becomes very dry in the winter season and Avocado mask is the best option to get rid from dryness. Make a fine paste with the mashed slice of avocado and 2-3 drops of virgin oil in it. Apply smoothly to your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes then wash your face with lukewarm water. This homemade face mask provides our skin the vital minerals, vitamins and antioxidants to fight against the dryness of the winter weather. Regular use of this mask will make to glow our skin.

Blend the mixture of chopped one leaf of aloe vera, olive oil and cucumber juice. Apply this paste to your face smoothly. Wash this paste after 30 minutes with cold water. Aloe vera is very helpful in getting relief from the irritation caused by the harsh breeze of winter. For dry skin the application of cucumber is ideal.

All homemade face packs should be followed regularly and seriously.
