In dry or cold weather conditions, our lips become dry. Use of lip balm or lip gloss protects our lips from chapping due to dryness. It is very essential to take proper care of our lips otherwise sometimes it may result into painful cracks with blood. Various recipes are there to prepare lip gloss and lip balm from the ingredients which are available in our home itself. Homemade lip gloss or lip balm always adds attractive glossy shining to your lips. Try some of these homemade lip gloss and lip balm recipes.

Take 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 teaspoon of bees wax, 3 drops of lavender essential oil and 1 teaspoon of calendula oil. First melt the beeswax and by stirring it add the rest of the ingredients and heat for 30 seconds. Blend the mixture properly and allow it to cool by pouring the balm in some container. You can cool the lip balm in a refrigerator and it will result into smoother appearance. You can add baking glitter or sprinkles. This will make your homemade lip balm more unique.

Take two teaspoons of beeswax and two tablespoons of sweet almond or coconut oil and melt it. You can add the desired color by grating the old lipstick. Keep it aside to cool. When it is lukewarm then add 5-6 drops of essential oil and add two drops of vitamin E capsule by puncturing it. Mix all the ingredients properly and pour in a lip gloss container. You can add the essential oil of any flavor like orange, pepper mint, coconut, lemon etc.



Take one teaspoon of bees wax and one teaspoon of honey. Melt both this ingredients. Whisk the mixture properly by adding two teaspoons of almond oil. Blend the combination of this mixture properly. Finally pour the mixture into a pot and allow it to settle before using it.

Make a mixture of grated one teaspoon of bees wax, half teaspoon of red lipstick, half teaspoon of petroleum jelly and you may add 2 drops from vitamin E capsules and 4-6 drops of peppermint essential oil. Pour this mixture into pots and use it after it set properly.

Mix one tablespoon of coconut oil with two tablespoons of beeswax and melt it by heating it. By the use of mortar and pestle crushed the dried petals of the rose to a fine powder. Add half teaspoon of crushed powder of the rose petals and 4-6 drops of rose essential oil to this melted wax. Whisk this combination properly and finally pour in a pot to set.
